Now this was one man that you would have to say was memorable. Richard was one of the most intelligent and witty guys I ever met. He was always friendly, carrying and as I've told Joyce, I never open a sack of pecans I don't think of him. Richard was fun, never tiring, well read and loved his Joyce,. He could look at a plant, animal or person and tell you what was wrong with it or you. We will never forget Richard, and I know his family will miss him terribly as we will. Love you Rich, you will forever be in our hearts. Look forward to seeing you again.

Richard "Doc", was a humble, kind, caring, "give you the shirt of his back" man. He truly was a man of his word and a honest and true friend. We know that Doc had Jesus in his heart and that some day we will see him in Heaven. Until then, we will miss you.
