Wanda Sue Folenius

FOLENIUS, Wanda Sue, age 80, of Holdenville, Oklahoma, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 15, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Born December 16, 1939, and graduate of Jellico High School, Jellico, Tennessee, she soon followed her sisters’ migration to Cincinnati, Ohio, and spent several years working full-time in clerical positions for Sears, Roebuck and Company and Good Samaritan Hospital prior to marriage, and subsequently helped her husband to found and co-pastor Faith Church of God, where she also served as organist, Director of Christian Education and Foreign Missions, for over 4 decades.

Sue’s talents were many – she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, church fundraiser and event planner who also loved to host and entertain. Aside from her church ministry, she enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

Preceded in death by her parents Roussia Belle Lett Gault and Jessie Lee Gault, Sr., sister Lillie Hale and brothers Jessie Gault, Jr., William Gault and Eugene Gault, and long-time best friend, Geraldine Siefert.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Rev. Robert Ray Folenius, loving sons, Steven and David Folenius, daughters-in-law, Lisa and Diana Folenius, several grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister Betty Payen, brother Harry Gault, sister-in-law, Betty Jean Gault, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Tuesday, February 25th, at the Finneytown Church of God, 678 W North Bend Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, followed by Funeral services 11am, Wednesday, February 26th, with Rev.
