Russell Frank Summers

Russell Frank Summers, a longtime resident of Henryetta passed away Friday, September 25th, 2020 in Henryetta at the age of 77. He was Born July 10th, 1943 in Henryetta to Otis Summers and Jennie (Crawford) Summers.

He was a proud veteran serving with the United States Army. He worked for many years teaching in the Vocational Technical schools. Russell loved learning and continuing his education. He earned two bachelor degrees as well as went to seminary to obtain his minister's license. His love for the Lord and sharing the Gospel was his passion. Up until his death he never stopped learning and trying to become more educated in many fields. He attended the First Christian Church in Henryetta and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He married JoAnn Dossey July 10th, 2007 in Fort Smith, Arkansas and spent the last thirteen very happy years of his life with his Jo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Carlotta (Pierce) Summers, three brothers, Charlie, Gene & Johnny Summers and a sister Dorothy Wade.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Summers of the home;
Two sons, Michael Sean Summers & wife Deborah Ann of Henryetta;
Jeffery Scott Summers & wife Lena of Pleasanton, Texas;
Grandchildren, Stasia Summers, Brittany Summers, Jessica Summers, Zachary Summers, Aubrey Summers, Isabella Summers, Aliczandra Summers, Mara Farris, Michael Alvin Frank Summers, Lewis Littleton & wife Tabitha, Latasha Guthrie & husband Zac, Oliver Guthrie, & Letitia Littleton;
Great grandchildren, Zorri Weaver, McKinley Weaver, Remy Thomas, Dalley Thomas, Eliza Grace Farris, Cameron Blake Smith, Joslyn Noel Farris, Isabella Littleton, Bryant Littleton, Landon Littleton, Ashlynn Littleton, Caprica Littleton, and two great grandchildren on the way;
Three stepsons, Terry Lee Dossey & wife Sherry of Florida;
Billy Paul Dossey & wife Susan of Tulsa;
Christopher Lynn Dossey & wife Eve of Vermont;
Also by a host of friends and other relatives.

Viewing for Russell will be from 3 - 8 pm, Monday, September 28th, and from 8am until noon on Tuesday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Randall Reeder officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
