Patricia Morrison Obituary
Patricia Ann Morrison, age 71, passed away at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the evening of February 8, 2023, following a brief illness. A multitude of Family and friends arrived to comfort her in passing.
"Ms. Pat", as many commonly knew and referred to her, was born July 17, 1951, in Magnolia, Arkansas. Seeking and later realizing a more prosperous livelihood her Mother relocated her and her two siblings to Odessa, Texas in the Permian Basin where she built a successful business. Patricia graduated from Permian Basin High School, home of the Permian Panthers and School Spirit termed 'Mojo', as a Member of the National Honors Society. Upon her first marriage she raised her first child at Airbases across two Continents as her first husband served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
After her marriage in 1994 to Dr. Paul Morrison, D.O., she lived her remaining years in the comfort and companionship of a loving Husband and small-town comforts of Henryetta, OK, located in Muscogee Creek Nation. She was an avid Racquetball Player and Oklahoma State Champion. She was a collector of art, antiquities, and an array of collectibles encompassed in multiple mediums. Recognized as an Artist, she was often visited at her home by OSU-IT Students, Photographers, fellow Artists and others impressed by her art in and around her home. She enjoyed gardening and yard work. However, her greatest passion was philanthropic support of Single Mother's experiencing challenges she knew well through her personal experiences. She brought smiles and hope to many hearts through simple words, shared wisdom, and resources provided with the loving support of Dr. Morrison. To say she was loved and will be missed by many understates the truth known to many who mourn the loss of her presence.
Patricia was preceded in death by her Father Hubert Doss and Mother Minnie Lee Hart. She is survived by her Husband Dr. Paul Morrison of Henryetta, OK, 2 sons, Jason VanOrsdol of Tulsa, OK, Aaron VanOrsdol and wife Annette of Owasso, OK, Grandson, Ethan VanOrsdol, of Owasso, OK, Sister Peggy Adams of Wink, Texas, Brother Tony Doss of Burleson, Texas, amid an array of other Family and Friends.
