Gladys Mae Dodge

Gladys Mae Dodge, a lifetime resident of rural Henryetta passed away Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 in Henryetta at the age of 90. She was born May 7th, 1930 in Morris to Leander Johnson & Ada (Boley) Johnson. She married Connie Dodge March 21st, 1947 in Henryetta.

She was a rancher's wife, always Connie Dodge's best right hand helper on their Rockin D Ranch. For many years, Gladys worked as an O.B. tech at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital helping deliver and care for countless babies and their mothers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leander & Ada Johnson, her husband Connie Dodge, brothers, Billy, George, and Kenneth Johnson, sisters, Odane Peavler and Opal Pippin.

She is survived by her three children:
Sue Matthews & husband Jimmy of Henryetta;
Norma Artussee & husband Dan of Henryetta;
Bill Dodge of Henryetta;
Seven grandchildren: Brandon Wheeler & wife Carlie of Henryetta;
Brett Wheeler & wife Billie Jean of Coweta;
Amy Norman & husband James of Jay;
Jay Matthews & wife Tara of Henryetta;
Jayme Matlock & husband Patrick of Henryetta;
Billy Joe Dodge & wife Jeanette of Henryetta;
Casie Nolan of Wetumka;
Sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Also a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Bradley Sims, Brayden Wheeler, Cayden Wheeler, Zane Wheeler, Isaac Matlock, Connor Matlock, Zack Mullen, Ryan Clark, Tuff Dodge & Cory Dodge. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandaughters, Zoey West, Payden Wheeler, Brittany Norman, Jaylyn Matthews, Taci Hamilton & Kaitlyn Clark.

Viewing for Gladys will be on Friday from 4-8pm at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Brett Wheeler officiating. Interment will follow in Rockin D Ranch Family Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
