Doris Panchot Obituary

Doris Ann Panchot, a former resident of Henryetta passed away Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 at her home in Tulsa at the age of 81. She was born February 3rd, 1939 in Tulsa to Virgil Thomas Cox and Bernice E. (Hardison) Cox.

Doris worked for many years at Hungry Traveler when it was on the north side of 1-40 with Ann and Benny Leonard. She went to the new Hungry Traveler south of 1-40 and continued working there for many years. She and husband Ray purchased the Hungry Traveler from the Ann Leonard and operated it successfully for several years. After her retirement she and husband Ray moved to Tulsa. Doris was loved by everyone. She had a fierce work ethic and was never afraid to tackle anything she set her mind to. She would always meet you with a smile and usually a hug.

She was a faithful member of Dewar First Baptist Church and will be sorely missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Bernice Cox, husband John Halford, Jr., a son, John Halford III, daughters Jan Evans and Tina Lee Halford also by a brother, Thomas Eugene Cox.

Doris is survived by her husband Ray Panchot of the home in Tulsa;
One daughter, Ruth Coe of Tulsa;
Four grandsons, Matthew Evans and Kelly, Anthony Evans & wife Celestia, Justin Daniel Evans & wife Jenny, & Joseph Coe;
Five great grandchildren, Daniel Evans, Jacob Evans, Ethan Evans, Arin Evans & Emma Evans;
Two sisters, Clara Ruth Schultz & husband Leonard of Tulsa;
Joyce Eagleton of Chouteau;
One brother, Virgil Ray Cox of Owasso;
Son-in-law, Terry Evans of Ponca City;
Also by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Viewing for Doris will be on Monday, April 27th from 3-8pm at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28th, 2020.Due to restrictions of COVID-19 the funeral service will be private.
