Charlene Kay Flegel, 61, a resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, January 7th, 2022 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Charlene was born July 2nd, 1960 to Virginia Jane (Hairston) and Morse Edward Garshong in Parsons, Kansas.
Charlene was a member of the United States Army, where she served her country proudly throughout the world before retiring as a SSG on September 9th, 1992 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Charlene was married to Chris Michael Flegel on January 18th, 1986 in Bisbee, Arizona.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, sister Elizabeth Mullenax, grandparents, Chester and Mary Elizabeth Garshong and brother Petty.
Those left to cherish Charlene's memory are her husband Chris Michael Flegel, of the home, son, Chris Michael Flegel II of Fort Branch, Texas; sisters Alexanderia Miller of Peggs, Oklahoma; Cherrill Maddux also og Peggs, Oklahoma; Judy Russell Stubbs of Jones, Oklahoma; brothers: Morris Groshong of Houston, Texas, Joe Groshong of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Richard Petty of Pottawatonie, Oklahoma
Memorial Service will be scheduled for a later date.
