Beth Witt Obituary

Stella “Beth” Witt, a resident of the Wilson community in Henryetta, Oklahoma ran a great race and passed the finish line into Heaven on Friday, June 11th, 2021 in Tulsa, OK. On this date, she heard her Savior say, “Well done good and faithful daughter. I know you well. Enter in.”
Beth would tell you her work here on earth is done. She received a promotion she could not resist, which came with a huge sign on bonus plus serving alongside family and friends she has not seen in a long time. This new mission involves worshipping at the feet of her Savior, dancing on streets of gold, reading from a library filled with books, and gardening to her heart’s content. Music, laughter, and delicious food without the calories are just a few of the perks she is enjoying with this new promotion.
Beth was born March 12th, 1950 in Washita, OK to Charlie Britton and Irma Britton (Eager). She was a graduate of Hinton High School Class of 1968. She married her best friend and love of her life, Walter Mike Witt, Sr. on June 14th, 1968 in Hinton, OK. Together, with the Lord, Mike and Beth were so “Happy Together,” shared 53 years in marriage and built their family on a solid foundation of love, humor and faith. Her relationship with her family and her Lord were two of the most important parts of life for Beth. One of her favorite scriptures was: “Lean not on your own understanding but in ALL of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

Beth was a Registered Nurse and Director of Nursing at both the Henryetta Medical Center and Mayes Plus for the majority of her career. She is known and respected by many for her faith, kindness, work ethics and being a woman of strength.
For 20 years, Beth volunteered with CBM Ministries of the Great Southwest in providing Release Time to the students of Wilson School 2-3 times a month. In this time, Beth was instrumental in introducing Christ to hundreds of children, which led to over 400 salvations.
She was a member of the Jubilee Christian Center in Okmulgee, OK where she and Mike served in various capacities through the years.
Some might consider them the modern-day Aquila and Priscilla of the Book of Acts in the New Testament. Together, they worked their skill level, but their occupation was only an opportunity to share the gospel. Together, they were servants for God. Beth loved God and she dearly loved Mike. She supported his ministry and had one of her own, which was sharing the love and gospel of Jesus wherever and with whomever she could.

Beth is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Madison Grace Blood; her mother, Irma Faye Eager; her sisters Carol Gravett, Nancy Vaughn, Cathy Kowalski, and Ima Jean Britton; her brother Jerrald Britton; Mother in love Francis Witt; Father in love Walter Witt; Sisters in love Dorothy Britton and Sandra Morgan.
