Barbara Elaine Farley

Barbara Elaine Farley, a life resident of the Salem Community passed away Sunday, March 20th, 2022 in Okmulgee at the age of 74. She was born September 9th, 1947 in Henryetta to Floyd Fowler, Sr. and Dorothy (Turner) Fowler.

She attended grade school at Salem and graduated from Graham High School. She married David Gene Farley, her high school sweetheart on July 26th, 1966, in Okmulgee, OKlahoma. Together they raised two sons and lovingly spoiled six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Family was the center of her life. Barbara took great joy in hosting family gatherings and Fourth of July celebrations-complete with all the fireworks!

Many an evening were spent with her brothers and sisters around her dining room table reminiscing about old times and solving the problems fo the world. She and David enjoyed camping trips and spending time at the lake

Barbara had a love for gardening. Her yard was filled with flowers, plants and trees of all kinds.

Barbara was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church. She married David Gene Farley July 27th, 1966 in Okmulgee. She worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at Fountain View Manor until her retirement. Those she cared for felt the compassion and love she had for others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Farley, brothers, Floyd Fowler, Jr., and Don Fowler.

She is survived by two sons, David Farley III & wife Penny of Henryetta;
Clayton Farley & wife Bethany of Henryetta;
Six grandchildren, Calla Farley, Timothy Farley, Julie Farley, Chasidee Farley, Bryce Farley & Breanna Farley;
One great grandson, Cameron Davis Wyant;
Siblings, Mary Burchart & husband Ted of Ft. Worth, Texas;
James Fowler & wife Karen of Plano, Texas;
John Fowler & wife Sherry of Pauls Valley;
Kay Palmeter & husband Bill of Oklahoma City;
Ann Storts of Moore;
Michael Fowler & wife Kathi of Arlington, Texas;
2 sisters-in-laws, Carole Fowler of Plano, Texas;
Betty Fowler of Seminole;
Also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Viewing for Barbara will be 3 - 8pm Thursday at Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Greg Williams, Jason Palmeter, Daniel Storts, Nathan Storts, Timothy Farley and Bryce Farley.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Wolfe and Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
