Frances "Deanie" O'Dean Bookout, a resident of Henryetta passed away Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 in Henryetta at the age of 82. She was born July 20, 1936 in Vian, Oklahoma to Emmett Hedrick and Ila May (Tacket) Hedrick.
She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ in Henryetta. She was a graduate of Henryetta High School and obtained her degree in nursing working for many years as a licensed practical nurse. Deanie and Gil opened the Henryetta Garden Center and later sold it but in perfect Deanie fashion, she didn't fully retire until 2016. Deanie had a strong work ethic and being still just wasn't her style if there was anything needed done.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gil Bookout, a brother, Billy Hedrick, brothers-in-law, Leon Bookout, Kenneth Bookout, Charles Bookout, & H.B. Bookout, sisters-in-law, Lorene Lassiter, Mary Bookout, & Oweta
She is survived by a son, Don Bookout
A daughter, Shelley McKiernan;
A brother, Gene Hedrick & wife Hope;
Two sisters, Faye Reed & June Moore;
Grandchildren, Riley Duval, Max, Brynna McKiernan;
Stepmother, Mary Hedrick of Dewar;
Also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Deanie will be 5-8pm Wednesday with family present to greet friends from 6-8pm.
Pallbearers will be Wade Hedrick, Roger Pinkston, Max McKiernan, & Riley Duval.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 11th at the Church of Christ in Henryetta with Rex Walcher officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
