Bunny Lewis Kano Obituary

Bunny Lewis Kano 86, a resident of Wetumka passed away at his home on June 25,2019. Bunny was born August 17th, 1932 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Jonas Kano and Alice Simmons.
Bunny grew up in the Hanna and Dustin Areas. He attended a small country School in Hanna Ryan School that only went to the 8th grade.

After the death of his father, Bunny stayed around to help his mother with the small farm and crops that they grew. He often told stories of how hard it was to grow crops with a team of mules and a plow that the mules pulled.

Later in life he met Flora Marie Holmes and married. They made their home in Dustin. Bunny went to work for a farmer named Jack Parks who also owned the feed store in Dustin back in the 50's, he worked there for 20 years. He then worked for various construction companies. Bunny loved to fish, garden and tinker with old cars, just about anything that had a motor. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, he loved watching them play and laugh. He loved to laugh and tell stories that made everyone laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Flora, a daughter Phyllis, a son Paul, 4 brothers, Kenneth, Eldon, Walter, and Sonnie Lewis, two sisters, Nayka Carbitcher and Fannie Barnett.
