Ruby M. Guynes, a resident of Henryetta was born March 1, 1918 in Preston, Oklahoma to May (Sneed) and Albert Blake. She passed away August 11, 2008 at Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years 5 months and 10 days. She was married to Theodore Guynes in Arkansas in 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by husband, Theodore Guynes, 2 sons, Theodore Guynes, Jr., Donald Guynes, grandson, Jason Guynes, & a sister, Leona Tweedy.
She survived by 3 sons, Jim Guynes, Dustin, Oklahoma;
Mike Guynes, Okmuglee, Oklahoma;
Larry Guynes, Clarkson, Arkansas;
1 daughter, Brenda Putman, Henryetta, Oklahoma;
1 sister, Thelma Poulton, Okmulgee, Oklahoma;
2 brothers, J.L. Blake, Hobbs, New Mexico;
Jr. Blake, Valiant, Oklahoma;
13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, & 2 great great grandchildren
As well as a host of friends and other relatives
Pallbearers will be Chris Guynes, Shane Putman, Matt Guynes, Billy Guynes, Daigan Ogle, and B. T. Morris.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Church Of Christ, 5th & Broadway, officiated by Rex Walcher. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of
Shurden Funeral Home.
