Alysha Ann (Carter) Pennington, a resident of Haskell, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Haskell at the age of 41. Alysha was born on July 10, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mike Carter and Mary Hamilton.

Alysha grew up living in Broken Arrow, Coweta, and Tulsa. She graduated from Tulsa's East Central High School with the class of 1994. Following high school, Alysha attended Platt College in Tulsa where she graduated with an Associate Degree, specializing in the medical field. Alysha worked in several capacities in the medical field, and most recently was employed by Pediatric Cardiology of Tulsa. Alysha married the love of her life, Joshua Duane Pennington in Weleetka, Oklahoma on June 5, 2004 and she remained married for 12 happy years until her death. Alysha loved going to the casino, enjoyed horseback riding, going to the lake, cruise vacations, and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter and she will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her.

Alysha is preceded in death by her grandmother, Quannah Carter; her grandmother, Patsy Joanne Walker Lamho; her step-grandfather, Wallace "Wiki" Lamho; her father, Mike Carter; her brother, Michael Carter; her son, Matthew Eick; and an aunt, Vickie Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Josh Pennington of the home; her two daughters, Kaylen Eick and Hailey Pennington, both of the home; her mother, Mary Hamilton Fields and husband Ira of Tulsa; a sister, Michele Carter of Virginia; a brother, Dwayne Carter of Wagoner; two uncles, MIckey Snelson of Bixby and Steve Carter of Coweta; three aunts, Tonya Thomas of Coweta, Elizabeth Diamond and Cheryl Lay, both of Henryetta; a cousin and very special caregiver, Lawanna Thomas of Coweta, and by several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, other extended family and many good friends.

Viewing for Alysha will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 8am until 11:00am.

A funeral service for Alysha will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 2:00pm at Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Henryetta with Rev. Suzie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Massey, Chase Carter, Cole Clemons, Daniel Boyington, Taylor Wilson, and Tristen Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ira Fields, Garland Pennington, Steve Carter, Stephen McGuire, Mickey Snelson, and Geoff Eick.
